CAJ/CNW Student Award Finalists Announced

March 27, 2000 (Ottawa) – Finalists for the fifth annual Student Award of Excellence in Journalism were announced today.
The award, co-sponsored by the Canadian Association of Journalists and Canada NewsWire, was created five years ago to recognize the journalistic efforts of post-secondary students across Canada, in all media.

The winner will be awarded the $1,000 cash prize and trophy at the Canadian Association of Journalists awards banquet during the CAJ’s annual conference, Halifax Ahoy. The conference will be held at the Sheraton Halifax Hotel, April 7-9, 2000
