HOW TO LAND
A JOURNALISM INTERNSHIP Interested in a summer internship at a
newspaper, magazine or television station? Looking for tips on how to
make your application stand out among the hundreds of others? See what
got others in and what you can do so you don't slip through the cracks.
Come to
Ryerson University on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006. Representatives from
media outlets hiring summer interns will be giving tips on how to get a
position. You'll find out what TO DO and what NOT TO DO as well as ask
your questions to the people who make decisions.
Representatives
will be speaking from:
- The Toronto
Star
- The Globe and Mail
- Canadian Press
- The Walrus Magazine and More.
How to Land
a Journalism Internship Event will be presented by the Canadian
Association of Journalists, Toronto Chapter.

Admission
fee: Free for CAJ members; $15 for non-members
If you're
not a CAJ member you can join at the door and your $15 admission fee
will be waived. Membership fees are $30 per year for students and
include a CAJ Calendar, subscriptions to Media Magazine and access to
many other great events as well as fellowships for students.
