TIME FOR SOME SIGHTSEEING?
We’ve all heard of Niagara Falls, one of the world’s greatest waterfalls, a true wonder. The Falls have inspired movie stars, newlyweds and tourists from around the globe.
There will be a bus trip to Niagara Falls on Monday, May, 28th for those who are interested in getting out of Toronto for a day. A guide will be on the bus and with you in Niagara Falls to ensure you get the most of the experience.
The Niagara Falls region is only an hour and a half by car or coach from Toronto, so if you’re interested in visiting please let us know so we can gauge interest in a day trip.
Depending on the level of interest it would cost between 25-50 dollars ($Can) for the day. If you are interested in this day trip, please contact the Hilton Hotel concierge for more information.

SATURDAY AWARDS BANQUET
The Canadian Association of Journalists honours the best in investigative journalism each year at a banquet which is part of its annual conference. This year, to mark the mixing of the Global Conference with the CAJ annual event, The Global Shining Light Award will be given to a journalist from a developing or emerging country. This is for work that was of an investigative nature that uncovered an issue or wrong doing which affected the common good and did so in the face of arrest, imprisonment, violence or intimidation.
The awards ceremony will include a video presentation highlighting some of the best journalism in Canada during the past year.
