Thanks for Coming!
But there was much, much more. You also learned about a wide range of investigative techniques and experiences; the frustrations and challenges of specific beats; the changing context of the news; ownership issues. Plus, there were three full days of workshops, panels and discussion on computer-assisted reporting, starting Thursday April 11. Capital Connections 2002 was organized by journalists for journalists. If you're a reporter or editor, this was a great opportunity to enhance skills and techniques that can bring new readers, listeners or viewers. We hope your whole newsroom benefited from your fresh views and contacts when you returned after the conference. Here's a complete list of our workshops, panels and special events. The conference took place in the Chateau Laurier hotel in the heart of downtown Ottawa, next to the Parliament buildings, the Arts Centre, National Gallery, boating on the Rideau Canal and Ottawa River plus the restaurants, shops and night life of the Byward Market, Sparks Street Mall and Rideau Centre. Thanks for joining us!
